    UNITED IN HOPE

Shebird launched a year and a half ago with a mission to make women happy by freeing them from their uncomfortable bras. We’ve had great success thanks to your support. However, one of the things that makes us the most happy is how our built-in bra has helped breast cancer survivors and thrivers get the support they want without wearing a traditional bra.  We’ve received so many beautiful and life changing testimonials that we decided that we wanted to do more to directly assist women impacted by breast cancer and to focus on two communities in particular: young women and women with a stage 4 diagnosis.

As a result, we launched the We-R-She limited Edition Collection.

10% of the purchase price of our limited edition ‘We-R-She’ Tanks and Tees will go directly to METAvivor and The Breast Cancer Portrait Project in support of breast cancer survivors and thrivers in the SheBird community and beyond.

Learn more about these two amazing groups that are helping women every day and see how you can get involved if you would like by clicking on the links below.  Help us spread the word and love by showing your support.

    1) METAvivor

Supports research for women facing stage 4 breast cancer.

    2)The Breast Cancer Portrait Project

Supports and gives a voice to young women facing breast cancer.

The Breast Cancer Portrait Project is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. It is a grassroots effort to raise awareness that Young Women Get Breast Cancer Too. Young women generally face greater difficulties in getting diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 40 years old because they are deemed 'too young' by the medical community. Thus, the Portrait Project serves to raise awareness that Young Women Get Breast Cancer Too through the arts of photography and survivor storytelling. Through the project, women become less of a statistic and more of a relatable soul whose young life was disrupted by an often times unforeseen and possibly terminal diagnosis.

METAvivor Research and Support is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support for women and men with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) and funding research to transition MBC from a terminal illness

    to a controlled, chronic condition.
